First Blog!!

This is my very first blog, ever!  I recently lost my own fur-girl, Sassy, of almost 16 years.  My heart shattered with her loss and at first I said I'd never have another puppy; I just couldn't bear the thought of 'replacing' her, having her think that I loved anyone as much as her or giving any other puppy a better life due to the lessons I learned with her.  In the weeks since losing her I've come to realize it is more of honoring her by helping other puppies to have great lives.  I don't think I'll ever love one as much as I loved her, she was beautifully unique, but I can still love others in a different way.  I'm not ready to have any furever puppies of my own, but I am ready to start helping puppies to find furever homes of their own!

My fear of fostering was not being able to bear to send them to the humane society after they didn't need me any longer - hoping this blog can be a forum to generate interest in them while they are being fostered so that when they are ready for their furever home they'll have a minimum, if any, stay at CUHS.
